The Partner follows two detectives, Tony Marconi and his partner Elsie. Together, they attempt to solve a major crime that has rocked the galaxy: an interstellar kidnapping. Macaroni is confounded by his partner—Elsie is a beautiful young woman who happens to be an android. The difficulty for Tony is just that—Elsie is an android with artificial intelligence. The LC-1 design is programmed with advanced intellect and critical problem-solving capabilities. Elsie expeditiously solves most of the crimes that come their way. Things become complicated for Tony. Elsie is in love with him.
